Scientific Name: (Dosidicus gigas)

Cuttlefish (Dosidicus gigas) is a large cephalopod mollusk abundant off the coast of Chile. It is a fast growing invertebrate with a complex nervous system and well-developed visual system. The body of the squid has two regions. The head, which is attached to arms (hence the term derives cephalopod) and mantle, characterized by being in a cylindrical shape which surrounds the internal organs.
